Brea Community Emergency council

BCEC is administered by a Board of Directors of nine to eleven long time Brea residents. Services and toy collection are coordinated with the City of Brea and the Brea Olinda School District. Expenditures are approximately $20,000 per year, which is raised annually, from a small cadre of local individual and service club donors. Operating expenses of less than $250 are generally donated by members of the Board of Directors. We keep overhead costs low so at least 90% of all funds go directly to those needing assistance.

Board members perform most of the services for BCEC except during the holidays when student volunteers from Brea Olinda High School (BOHS) assist with the distribution of debit cards and toys. BCEC receives NO taxpayer money.

We get funding sources from Private individuals, businesses and other charitable organizations who give gifts of any size. In addition, the Brea Family Resource Center provides in-kind administrative assistance.
